- Fragmentation: Different systems linked by various methods resulting in high maintenance costs, limited flexibility, and lack of control.
- Opacity: Due to multiple extract, transform, load (ETL) tools being used, each with a different UI, it is hard to get an overview of operations.
- Expensive: Ongoing operation, maintenance, and development costs were high.
Solution
To standardize its infrastructure, reduce costs, and improve management, FANCL chose to introduce the following tools.
