System Environment Settings and Host Information

To ensure that Code Conversion is successful for sending-side conversion and receiving-side conversion, accurately configure the following information:

  • Code Set for Transfer (cs4trnsfr) and the Standard for Japanese (jistype) in the System Environment Settings

  • Code Set for Transfer (KCODETYPE) and the Standard for Japanese (JISYEAR) in the Host Information

System Environment Settings and Host Information

You must configure the Host Information of the remote host that is registered on the host that carries out Code Conversion as shown below:

Sending-side conversion

Settings on the Sending Host

Setting Contents

Code Set for Transfer (KCODETYPE) in the Host Information for the host name of the host on the receiving side

Set to match the Code Set for Transfer (cs4trnsfr) (*1) setting in the System Environment Settings on the host on the receiving side.

Standard for Japanese (JISYEAR) in the Host Information for the host name of the host on the receiving side

Set to match the Standard for Japanese (jistype) (*2) setting in the System Environment Settings on the host on the receiving side.
