Host Information

You can register the detailed information about host on the sending side or the host on the receiving side. There are two ways to register the information.

Field List

In the table below, the check marks in the Optional column indicate the fields considered optional during registration from the HULFT Management Console. Optional fields and mandatory fields for registration by running commands with parameter files may differ from those for registration using the HULFT Management Console.

For details on optional fields and mandatory fields for the registration by running commands with parameter files, refer to Management Information Batch Registration command.

Note that, in HULFT-HUB, a host name with an underscore (_) may automatically be set. The host name with an underscore (_) is only used to manage HULFT by HULFT-HUB. You cannot use an underscore (_) in a host name for transfer.

Explanation of each field

This section explains the fields to be specified in the Host Information. The parenthesized strings are the names of each field and you can use them as field tags in a parameter file when registering the information.

Host Name (HOST)

Host name that identifies the host on the sending side or the host on the receiving side

At the time of sending, this host name is linked with the host name of the Transfer Group Information.

When receiving is carried out, this host name is linked with the local host name of the host on the sending side.

Observe Port No. (REQPORT)

Port number used by the Observe daemon

Connection Type (CONNECTTYPE)

Connection type for the host that is specified for Host Name.

L (LAN):

Specify this parameter when a LAN connection is used.

You can set only 'L' (LAN).

Use HULFT7 Comm. Mode (HUL7MODE)

Communication method for the host that is specified for Host Name

N (No):

HULFT first uses the connection method of HULFT Ver.8.0.0 or higher to connect to the remote host. If the remote host uses a version lower than HULFT8, HULFT switches to the connection method of HULFT7.

Y (Yes):

HULFT uses the connection method of HULFT7 from the beginning.

Omitting this field sets 'N (No).'

Send Process Multiplex Level by Host (HOSTSPSNUM)

Send Multiplex Level for the host that is specified for Host Name

When you set '0' to this field, HULFT does not check the multiplex level of sending by host.

Omitting this field sets '0.'

Set a value for Send Process Multiplex Level by Host that is equal to or lower than the value that is set for Send Process Multiplex Level in the System Environment Settings.
