FAQ related to functions and concepts
Are commands or APIs to execute processing such as sending or receiving provided?
HULFT Square doesn't provide commands or APIs for Send File, Send Request, or other processing of HULFT.
Various processes to build a business system are enabled by the data integration function of HULFT Square.
For details on the data integration function of HULFT Square, refer to How to read the Data Integration content.
For the procedures to transfer files using the data integration function of HULFT Square, refer to the following scenarios:
Is Send Request available?
Send Request for HULFT Square and Send Request for on-premises HULFT are not available.
Alternatively, by sending an empty file and then specifying a send operation in a subsequent job, functionality equivalent to Send Request is achievable.
Are format transfer and multi format transfer available?
HULFT Square supports only binary transfer or text transfer.
These are set in Transfer type of the Transfer Send configurations. For more details, refer to Send Config.
Is code conversion available?
HULFT Square supports almost the same code conversion function as that of the package version of HULFT for UNIX/Linux.
For code conversion during sending, perform the required settings in the Transfer Send configurations and the Transfer Host configurations.
When receiving, the codes are automatically converted according to the Transfer Host configurations and the transfer settings on the sending-side.
For details on the code conversion function, refer to the HULFT8 Code Conversion Manual.
Custom character tables can't be registered.
What encryption schemes does HULFT Square support?
HULFT Square supports AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). If the communicating on-premises HULFT can't use AES, HULFT encryption is automatically applied.
Is there any difference from HULFT in users, permissions, and so on?
HULFT Square users belong to user groups. Policies are applied to user groups.
A policy is a collection of permissions that are required to perform the intended operations or functions in HULFT Square. It is applied to user groups.
In HULFT Square, an administrator invites users and assigns permissions.
For the permissions necessary to use the HULFT Transfer service, refer to List of policies and permissions.
Is there any difference between the functions of on-premises HULFT and HULFT Square?
