Update Installation of HULFT Script for Windows
This section provides an example of updating HULFT Script for Windows Ver.8.1.x (hereinafter referred to as "Old HULFT Script") to HULFT Script for Windows Ver.8.5.x (hereinafter referred to as "New HULFT Script").
Use the Server Migration function of HULFT Script Server for the update.
For migratable settings and non-migratable settings, refer to Settings that are migratable with the Server Migration function and Settings that are not migratable with the Server Migration function.
The procedure for performing the Update Installation of HULFT Script is explained below.
1. Export the HULFT Script settings from Old HULFT Script.
Select Control Panel > HULFT Script Server Settings > Server migration and execute Export. When you export the settings, triggers must be disabled. Refer to HULFT Script HELP for details.
2. Exit HULFT Script Studio in Old HULFT Script.
Refer to Exiting HULFT Script Studio for the procedure to exit HULFT Script Studio.
3. Stop HULFT Script Server in Old HULFT Script.
Refer to Stopping HULFT Script Server for the procedure to stop HULFT Script Server.
4. Back up Old HULFT Script information.
Use the copy function of your operating system to copy information to the backup folder according to the following procedure:

Create the backup folder in the desired location.

Copy the entire installation folder for the old version of HULFT Script.

Paste the data in the backup folder.
5. Uninstall Old HULFT Script.
Refer to Uninstallation of HULFT Script for Windows for the procedure to uninstall Old HULFT Script.
6. Install New HULFT Script.
Refer to New Installation of HULFT Script for Windows for the procedure to install New HULFT Script.
The setting of the following must be the same as in the old version of HULFT Script:

Administrator's password
-
Windows service (Windows service name)
-
Connection information (HULFT Script Server host name, IP address, and port number)
-
HULFT Script installation destination
-
HULFT installation destination (installation directory and HULPATH directory)
7. Migrate Old HULFT Script settings to New HULFT Script.
There are two types of files to be migrated: system settings files and user data files.
Migrate the settings in the files for Old HULFT Script in the backup folder to New HULFT Script.
If you have not changed the settings in the files for Old HULFT Script that are to be migrated and have left the default values as they were, you do not need to migrate the files.
The details for the system settings files are shown below.

User data files are the files that the user created. Migrate these files as necessary.
8. Migrate other settings.
Migrate the settings listed in Settings that are not migratable with the Server Migration function as necessary.
9. Start up HULFT Script Server in New HULFT Script.
Refer to Starting HULFT Script Server for the procedure to start up HULFT Script Server.
10. Start up HULFT Script Studio in New HULFT Script.
After the update is complete, delete the Web browser cache (temporary Internet files) and then start up HULFT Script Studio.

11. Import the HULFT Script settings to New HULFT Script.
Select Control Panel > HULFT Script Server Settings > Server migration and execute Import.
