(1) Support for UTF-8
UTF-8 is now added to the options for available codes. You can transfer data with the system locale that used UTF-8, which allows you to cope with more various user environments.

For details of UTF-8 and code conversion for Chinese, refer to Code conversion for Chinese.
-
Code conversion to or from UTF-8 is not available for HULFT for Mainframe lower than Ver.7.2.0.
-
Among HULFT products lower than Ver.8.1, HULFT for UNIX/Linux and HULFT for NSK are the sole products that provide UTF-8 as option for the Kanji Code Type of system.
For the products that HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher provides "UTF-8" as an option for Code Set for Transfer of a local host, refer to Support for UTF-8 as code set of local host. -
In HULFT8 for NonStop and HULFT7 for NSK, you can specify "UTF-8" for Code Set for Transfer on the local host. However, because NonStop does not support UTF-8, the behavior is not guaranteed in HULFT for NSK.
