My Services

My Services

My Services is a management tool for changing/replicating/deleting services.
Ordinal users can only reference those services they registered themselves with the server and those they are granted to access. Whereas, users with administrative privileges are allowed to reference all registered service.
My Services can be started from Start page.

Functions provided by My Services

My Services provide the following functions.

Description of Functions
Name of functions Description Remarks
Service List View List of services that are registered with the server.It is displayed when My Services is started.
  • Sorted by standard unicode character order.
Rename service Renames the name of service.
  • Can only be executed by users with administrator privileges.
Copy Service Makes the duplicates of the selected service.
  • Can only be executed by users with administrator privileges.
Delete service Delete the service selected.  
Service Properties Provides basic information such as the service deployment location and the size of the services. It also allows user to edit their security and access right attributes.  

Service List View

Description of items
Item name Description Remarks
Name Name of the service.
  • Project registered as a service for version before DataSpder Servista 2.2.1.1 will be in format of "<username>@<Project Name>".In case of shared project, the name will be "<Project Name>".
Registered project File path to the location of the project associated with the service.
  • The service and content of the project may differ.
    Example:service registration->delete the registered project->create a new project with the same name as the project which has been deleted.
Version The version of the project at time when it was registered with the server.
  • In case of project registered as service with version before DataSpder Servista 2.2.1.1, then "-" is displayed.
Last owner The last user who registered the service.  
Date registered The date time of the service registration.  

Rename service

To rename a project, select [File]-[Rename] menu action.
When renaming a service, beware that you need to modify the settings of triggers and Call Script operations associated with the service.

Copy Service

To copy service, perform [Edit]-[Copy] action.
A service that has been replicated will have its name followed by a number in parentheses.
Example:root@project(1)

Delete service

To delete the service, perform [File]-[Delete] action.
When a service is deleted, any triggers and call script operations associated will not perform.

Service Properties

To edit any service related information, select [File]-[Properties] menu action.

General

Location File path to the location of the JAR file deployed  
Size The size of the JAR file deployed.  
Date created The date and time the service was created.  
Date modified The date and time the service was last modified.  

Script List

Description of items
Item name Description Remarks
Script List List of scripts that associated with the service.  
Script Detail Provides the details of the currently selected script.
  • Details of the script includes the following information:
    • Script name
    • Version
    • LastUpdate

Security

Description of items
Item name Description Remarks
Owner The owner of the service.
  • As for default, user who registered the service will be set.
Group The group to which the owner of the service belongs.
  • As for default, primary group of user who registered the service will be set.
Access permissions Permissions on service access.
  • [Read]
    The permission to reference services.
  • [Write]
    Permission to delete services.
  • As for default, access authorization of user who registered the service will be set.

If overwrite previously registered service, the owner, group, and access authorization of that service will not be changed.
