Create a connection to a MySQL database

1. Select > HULFT INTEGRATE > Connections.

2. On the Connections page, select Add New.

3. In step Type on the Connections > Add New page, enter MySQL in the search box.

   You can select a connector from the connector list to narrow down resource types.

4. From the Type list, select MySQL 8.0 connection, and then select Next.

5. In step General, set the fields related to connection resources as shown below, and then select Next.

   Field name	Setting (example)
   Name	MySQL 8.0 connection
   Workspace	Personal
   Description	(Optional)

6. In step Settings, set the following information, and then select Next.

   • The host and database information, or the URL information for the target MySQL database

     When the MySQL database exists in your environment on AWS and connection via PrivateLink is required because public access is not available, specify DNS for the VPC endpoint in Hostname.

     For details about how to retrieve DNS for VPC endpoints, refer to VPC Endpoint.

   • The user account information for MySQL

   • Whether to use SSL connection

   • Whether to limit the number of tables or procedures to display in lists

7. In step Profiles, select a profile.

   When you select a profile, the connection is registered to the profile. The profile can be used to switch the resource settings.

8. In step Summary, confirm that the settings are correct, and then select Finish.
