Work before a communication test

This section describes the procedure to conduct a basic operation test on the local machine in order to check whether or not HULFT has been installed properly.

By conducting a communication test, you can verify the points described in the following sections:

  1. Management Information Registration

  2. Send File (a file transfer started on the sending side)

  3. Log confirmation (a file transfer started on the sending side)

  4. Send Request (a file transfer started on the receiving side)

  5. Request status confirmation (a file transfer started on the receiving side)

  6. Log confirmation (a file transfer started on the receiving side)

= Remarks =

When you use HULFT in a clustering environment, carry out the communication test on each ACTIVE node.

Note

To use HULFT in a clustering environment, you must install HULFT8 for UNIX-Enterprise, HULFT8 for Linux-Enterprise, or HULFT8 for zLinux-Enterprise.

To avoid communication trouble during operation, we recommend that you carry out a communication test.
