Preparation for a revision upgrade

Before starting the preparations for a version upgrade, read Revision Upgrade Notification and other released documents.

Next, prepare for a revision upgrade according to the following procedure:

1. Terminate HULFT Manager.

   Be sure to terminate HULFT Manager before you start the revision upgrade.

   You may be unable to perform the upgrade properly if HULFT Manager is running.

   For details on how to terminate HULFT Manager, refer to Termination procedure for HULFT Manager.

2. Back up the HULFT Manager data.

   Be sure to create a backup of the HULFT Manager data before you start the revision upgrade.

   For details on how to create a backup, refer to Backup procedure.

3. Confirm the version, level, and revision of the current HULFT Manager.

   Confirm the original revision (the version, level, and revision of the current HULFT Manager).

   If the version or level of HULFT Manager to be installed is different from the version or level of the current HULFT Manager, perform a version upgrade or the level upgrade.
