Backup procedure

This section explains the procedure for backing up the HULFT Manager environment.

It is recommended that the backup work should be performed by the user who installed HULFT Manager or by the user whose account is Administrator of the Windows operating system in use.

    1. Change to the folder in which HULFT Manager is installed.

    2. Confirm that it is the HULFT Manager environment.

    3. Create a backup.

    The files to be backed up vary depending on the version of HULFT Manager.

    To back up the HULFT8 Manager environment

    Copy the following folders located in the installation folder of HULFT Manager to a folder of your choice:

    • etc

    • opl

    • output

    = Remarks =

    If you specify 'Do Not Output' for both of the following fields in the System Environment Settings for HULFT Manager, the 'opl' folder will not be created:

    • Command Execution Log

    • File Access Log

    If the 'opl' folder does not exist in the HULFT Manager installation folder, the 'opl' folder will not be backed up.

    In addition, copy the following files located in the installation folder of HULFT Manager to a folder of your choice:

    • HUL8_MGR_DB.db3

    • hulman.ini

    To back up the HULFT Manager Ver.7 environment

    Copy the following folders located in the installation folder of HULFT Manager to a folder of your choice:

    • etc

    • opl

    • output

    = Remarks =

    If you specify 'Do Not Output' for both of the following fields in the System Environment Settings for HULFT Manager, the 'opl' folder will not be created:

    • Command Execution Log

    • File Access Log

    If the 'opl' folder does not exist in the HULFT Manager installation folder, the 'opl' folder will not be backed up.

    Next, copy the following file located in the HULFT Manager installation folder to a folder of your choice:

    • HUL7_MGR_DB.db3

    In addition, copy the following files and folders located in 'HULFT Manager installation folder\Plugins\Hulft_Plugin' to a folder of your choice.

    • hulman.dat

    • hulman.ini

    • hulman.tre

    • plugin.xml

    • Setup.xml

    • The dtb folder and all the files it contains

    To back up the HULFT Manager Ver.6 environment

    Copy the following files located in the installation folder of HULFT Manager to any other folder:

    • hulman.dat

    • hulman.ini

    • hulman.tre

    To back up the User Information in HULFT Manager Ver.7 or higher

    For HULFT Manager Ver. 7 or higher, you can use the same User Information by backing it up and then reading it after installing the updates.

    For HULFT Manager Ver.8, go to the User Management screen on HULFT Manager main screen, and click Export on the toolbar.

    For HULFT Manager Ver.7, click System Configuration > User Information > Export on HULFT Manager main screen.

    Save a backup file with any name. The file is output in the XML format and the password that has been set by the user is encrypted.

    4. Confirm that a backup is created.

    Confirm that all the files and folders to be backed up are copied.
