Overview of file transfers using the information on the Cloud Storage DB

In HULFT Cloud Storage Option Ver.8.5.1 or higher, the following four types of settings are available for the uploads or downloads for object storage:

• Individual settings

  Set the information for a receive file to upload or a send file to download for each transfer destination.

  The information that is set per transfer destination is called individual settings.

• Default settings

  Set the values (default information) that are used in common when the individual settings are not specified for a receive file to upload or a send file to download.

  The default information is called default settings.

• Cloud Storage System Environment Settings

  Set the operating environment of entire HULFT Cloud Storage Option.

• Downward-compatible settings

  These settings are the same as the settings in HULFT Cloud Storage Option Ver.8.5.0 or lower.

  When you operate HULFT Cloud Storage Option using the downward-compatible settings, refer to HULFT Cloud Storage Option environment (downward-compatible settings).

 

HULFT Cloud Storage Option Ver.8.5.1 or higher uses a database (Cloud Storage DB) to set information such as the transfer-related information and the authentication information.

To configure the individual settings or default settings, set the following information on the Cloud Storage DB:

• Individual settings

  • Receive Storage Management Information

  • Send Storage Management Information

  • Storage Authentication Information

• Default settings

  • Default information for the Receive Storage Management Information

  • Default information for the Send Storage Management Information

  • Default information for the Storage Authentication Information

• Cloud Storage System Environment Settings

To upload or download a file for object storage, it is necessary to set the access permissions for the object storage.
