Cloud Storage System Environment Settings
In HULFT Cloud Storage Option Ver.8.5.1 or higher, the total number of parallel uploads and the total number of parallel downloads (hereinafter referred to as total number of parallels) can be configured.
The settings of total number of parallels are applied to the uploads and downloads for all object storages.
Specify the total number of parallels in the Cloud Storage System Environment Settings.
The values that can be specified in the Cloud Storage System Environment Settings and the values that are used when not specified are shown below.
Field Name |
Setting Value |
Value Used When Not Specified |
---|---|---|
Total Number of Parallel Downloads |
2 to 999 |
48 |
Total Number of Parallel Uploads |
2 to 999 |
32 |
-
If you specify a value larger than the total number of parallels for the maximum number of parallels per transfer in the Receive Storage Management Information or the Send Storage Management Information, the maximum number of parallels per transfer is limited to the total number of parallels.
Therefore, specify the values as follows:
Total number of parallels ≥ Maximum number of parallels per transfer
-
If you change the Total Number of Parallel Downloads to a larger value than the value of "48" that is used when the field is not specified, the load on the system may be high depending on the operating environment. Be aware of this fact when you change the Total Number of Parallel Downloads.
-
If you change the Total Number of Parallel Uploads to a larger value than the value of "32" that is used when the field is not specified, the load on the system may be high depending on the operating environment. Be aware of this fact when you change the Total Number of Parallel Uploads.
For usage examples of the utilities to configure the Cloud Storage System Environment Settings, refer to the following:
Registering and initializing the Cloud Storage System Environment Settings
For the Cloud Storage System Environment Settings, check the settings by using the output command included in the HULFT Cloud Storage Option utilities, and then register and initialize the content.
For details on the HULFT Cloud Storage Option utilities, refer to Utilities of HULFT Cloud Storage Option.
The Cloud Storage System Environment Settings cannot be registered when HULFT is running.
If you attempt to register a value in the Cloud Storage System Environment Settings when HULFT is running, the registration fails due to the exclusive lock.
Be sure to stop HULFT before you register a value in the Cloud Storage System Environment Settings.
