Observe setting functions for requests from unregistered hosts
You can specify, for each type of service, whether the Observe system accepts service requests issued from hosts that are not registered in the Host Information.
This function is collectively called "the observe setting functions for requests from unregistered hosts."
The observe setting functions for requests from unregistered hosts allow operations in which the Observe system accepts requests only for specific services and refuses requests for other services.
The observe setting functions for requests from unregistered hosts are applied to the services shown below:
-
Send Request (SEND)
-
Resend Request (RESEND)
-
Post-receive Job Result Inquiry Request (HULJOB)
-
Job Execution Result Notification (HULSNDRC)
-
Remote Job Execution (HULRJOB)
To refuse requests for specific services from unregistered hosts, specify "N" (No) for the following fields in the System Environment Settings. For details about the System Environment Settings, refer to System Environment Settings.
-
Allow Send/Resend Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWSNDREQ)
-
Allow Post-Receive Job Result Inquiry from Unregistered Host (ALLOWPOSTRJOBRSLT)
-
Allow Job Result Notification Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWJOBRSLTNTFY)
-
Allow Remote Job Execution Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWRMTJOBEXE)
During system operations, the Observe system refuses requests for the services for which the setting field is set to "N" in the System Environment Settings, and handles such requests as errors. In the example shown in Figure 2.43 , HULFT refuses the connection from the services of Remote Job Execution (HULRJOB) and Post-receive Job Result Inquiry Request (HULJOB).
The observe setting functions for requests from unregistered hosts also applies to service requests from a requestor host that runs a HULFT version lower than Ver.8.4.
