HULFT for Mainframe

1. If HULFT on the destination host is a version lower than Ver.8, confirm that HULFT ManagerConnection Option has been installed on the host.

2. When the destination host is HULFT for MSP or HULFT for XSP, specify in TISP, the host definition or the HOSTPOOL definition statement of the PC on which HULFT Manager is installed.

3. Start the Observe program on the destination host.

4. If you intend to use the Password Check function when connecting to a destination host, configure the following settings on HULFT installed on the destination host:

  • Specify User ID/Password Check (USRIDCHKMODE) in the System Environment Settings.

  • Register a record of user information that is specified based on the setting for User ID/Password Check (USRIDCHKMODE), to the user definition file or to RACF (Resource Access Control Facility).

5. If you intend to use the Management Console Security function, configure the following settings on HULFT installed on the destination host:

  • Grant permissions per user ID.

  • Perform the settings for the password check as explained in 4.
