Management Console Security

The Management Screen Security can grant the following permissions to each user:

Explanation of each permission

Log View Permission (on-screen name: View Log)

With this permission, you can view the following log records. If you do not have this permission, you cannot use the Status Inquiry menu.

Request Status Confirmation
Transfer Status List
Resend Queue Status List

Log Delete Permission (on-screen name: Delete Log)

With this permission, you can delete the following log records. If you do not have this permission, you cannot delete log records.

Issue Request Permission (on-screen name: Issue Request)

With this permission, you can issue the following requests. If you do not have this permission, you cannot use the Issue Request menu.

Send File request for instant transfer

In addition, you can cancel a transfer or delete records in the Resend Queue file on the following list screens. Without this permission, you cannot cancel transfer or delete records in the Resend Queue file.

In HULFT for Mainframe, the end user can cancel a transfer or delete records in the Resend Queue file without the Issue Request Permission.

Permission to Access Directory via HULFT Manager (on-screen name: Access Directory via HULFT Manager)

With this permission you can view the directory of the host at the connection destination via HULFT Manager. This is a permission to access directories when you select files via the screen of HULFT Manager.

Permission to View System Management Information (on-screen name: View System Management)

With this permission, you can view the following information. Without this permission, you cannot use the System Configuration menu.

Permission to View and Update System Management Information (on-screen name: View and Update System Management)

With this permission, you can view and update information made available by the Permission to View System Management Information.

Permission to View and Delete System Management Information (on-screen name: View and Delete System Management)

With this permission, you can view and delete information made available by the Permission to View System Management Information.

Permission to View, Update and Delete System Management Information (on-screen name: View, Update and Delete System Management)

With this permission, you can register, update, and delete the following information. Without this permission, you cannot use the System Configuration menu.

You can combine the above permissions to determine individual user rights. However, the type of permission might be different according to the host types or version of HULFT on the destination host.

To view the permissions of a user who is currently connected to the destination host, open the Help menu on the HULFT Manager Management Console, select Version Information and click the Permission Type tab. When the Management Screen Security is disabled, the Permission Type tab is not displayed.

Setting of Management Screen Security

To use the Management Screen Security, configure the settings explained in Required settings on the destination host.
