Steps to take before using HULFT Cipher Option

To use HULFT Cipher Option, you need to set an encryption scheme to be used in HULFT for Encryption Scheme (ciphertype) in the System Environment Settings.

If you have made any of the following changes in a Product Key Update, the value of Encryption Scheme (ciphertype) in the System Environment Settings will not be changed automatically.

  • When you have started using HULFT Cipher Option

  • When you have disabled HULFT Cipher Option

If you have made any of the changes described above in a Product Key Update, change the setting of Encryption Scheme (ciphertype) in the System Environment Settings according to your environment.

When you use HULFT Cipher Option

  1. Check the settings for Encryption Scheme (ciphertype) in the System Environment Settings on the HULFT Management Console.

If "0" (HULFT Encryption Scheme) is set, change it to "1" (Other Encryption Scheme).

  2. Restart each resident daemon of HULFT.

When you do not use HULFT Cipher Option

  1. Check the setting for Encryption Scheme (ciphertype) in the System Environment Settings on the HULFT Management Console.

If "1" (Other Encryption Scheme) is set, change it to "0" (HULFT Encryption Scheme).

  2. Restart each resident daemon of HULFT.
