Express Installation

In Express Installation, an operating system administrator uses the setup program to manually carry out the installation.

This section describes the procedure for Express Installation.

Note

You can use Express Installation to execute an Update Installation, when the System Environment Settings and other setting values of the existing HULFT are the same as the default values set by the setup program and when you want to overwrite the installation in the current environment.

In this case, the current System Environment Settings and other setting values of HULFT are inherited.

In any of the following cases, however, execute Custom Installation:

  • When you install a new instance of HULFT on the same host

  • When you modify the current System Environment Settings and other settings of HULFT

  • When you install HULFT with setting values that are different from the default values set by the HULFT setup program

  • When you install HULFT in a clustering environment

  • When you execute a Product Key Update
