Settings related to encryption

Encryption Scheme

When you use HULFT Cipher Option, you must set the Encryption Scheme (CIPHERTYPE) of the System Environment Settings to "1" (Other Encryption Scheme). When you execute the New Installation or the Update Installation, this value is automatically set.

When you add HULFT Cipher Option, or change the type of HULFT Cipher Option (Encryption Scheme) by updating the Product Key, this setting is not automatically changed. Therefore, you must check the settings for Encryption Scheme (CIPHERTYPE) in the System Environment Settings. For details, refer to Work when using HULFT Cipher Option.

Forced Strong Key Mode

To enable Forced Strong Key mode, set Forced Strong Key mode (STRONGKEYMODE) in the System Environment Settings to "1" (Enabled). The setting value of Forced Strong Key mode at the time of installation varies depending on the installation type. Change the value after the installation if necessary.

In new installation, Forced Strong Key mode (STRONGKEYMODE) in the System Environment Settings is set to "0" (Disabled).

For details, refer to Preparation before using Forced Strong Key mode.

Note

The type of cipher key differs depending on whether Forced Strong Key mode is enabled or disabled. We do not recommend to change Forced Strong Key mode between enabled and disabled in the middle of operations, because it might affect established communications.
