Routing Information

This topic explains how HULFT-HUB registers the Routing Information that is required for communication between HULFT-HUB Server and for communication between HULFT-HUB Server and a client.

You can configure the Routing Information in the Route Settings in the server's System Environment Settings on the Management screen. In the Route Settings you can configure the network settings for a neighboring HULFT-HUB Server.

[Note] The Route Settings is displayed only on HULFT-HUB Server that is linked to a Neighboring Server by connection lines (connection between servers).

Explanation of Each Field

Server Routing Information

This section defines the routing table that the server uses to determine other servers that relay the packets that are received from another server or client in a communication between HULFT-HUB Server or a communication between HULFT-HUB Server and a client.

(A1) Network Address

This field specifies the network address and the net mask of the network in which the neighboring HULFT-HUB Server is installed.

Specify the network address in the format of 'network address/net mask.' (Example: 192.168.10.0/24)

Specify a 32-bit network address divided into four 8-bit numbers, with each number a decimal value. Use periods to separate these four values. If any of these numbers is fewer than 3 digits, do not add '0' to the beginning of the number.

(Example: 192.168.10.0)

For the net mask, specify an integer from 1 to 32 as the number of bits within the IP address to use as the network address.

(Example: For the IP address 192.168.10.100, if '192.168.10' is used as the network address the net mask is '24.')

(A2) Priority

This field specifies the priority for routing.

If failure of the network with a Neighboring Server, termination of the Neighboring Server, or any other cause prevents HULFT-HUB from carrying out file transfer using the Communication Routing with the highest level of priority, HULFT-HUB automatically switches to the routing with the next highest level of priority to carry out file transfer.

[Note]
- Automatic switching to a different route is enabled only for a neighboring server.
- In addition to the Priority, you must also configure retry settings for socket connection failure in order to carry out automatic switching to different routing. Set the Connect Retry Count (SocketRetryMax) and the Connect Retry Interval (SocketRetryInterval) in the server's System Environment Settings.

(A3) Server

This field specifies the host name of the Neighboring Server.

Select the host name of the Neighboring Server from the list.

(A4) Default Server

This field specifies the host name of the server that is used as a transfer destination if the route that is specified in the Server Routing Information cannot be found.

Select the host name of the server from the list.
