Client host definition
Definition related to the local host
For the local host name of the client, setting items differ depending on the model. See the Administration Manual for the client and configure the settings.
To add a client to the system in the Management screen of HULFT-HUB Manager, register the "local host name of the client" described above.
If you change the host name of the client, you need to delete the previous host and newly register a host.
1. Deleting the previous host and registering a new host
From the Structure Diagram in the HULFT-HUB Manager Management screen, delete the previous host and register a new host.
Because a new host is not registered in the business group, you also need to register the host in the business group again.
2. Modifying the transfer information
For the host name in the Host Information and the host name in the Transfer Group ID, you need to change the previous host name to a new host name. Modify the above information by using the Collecting and Distributing System Management Information function of HULFT-HUB Manager.
For details, see the HULFT-HUB Manager online help.
3. Modifying TCP/IP-related host definition
You need to modify the TCP/IP-related host definition (such as the hosts file and DNS server) on the controlling HULFT-HUB Server instance.
Definition related to the remote host
For the remote host during HUB Transfer, the definitions below are required in the HULFT-HUB system definition. For details about each type of definition information, see the HULFT-HUB Manager online help.
1) HULFT-HUB system definition
Host Information
To connect to the HULFT-HUB network, a HULFT-HUB client uses Host Name, PROXY Server Name, and PROXY Port No. in the Host Information. This definition is automatically set when information about transfer operations routed through HULFT-HUB Server is defined by using HULFT-HUB Manager. For transfer operations routed through HULFT-HUB Server, do not modify the Host Information related to the destination.
Host Name
The host name in the Host Information used for transfer operations routed through HULFT-HUB Server changes according to the following setting values:
- Notification Host Name for Transfer via HUB (HostNameNotice) in the System Environment Settings of HULFT-HUB Server
- Notification Host Name in the Registered Client Information
This also applies to the host name to be output in the Status Inquiry screen for a client, and in the log information list and file.
For details, see Host Information used in transfers via HUB.
PROXY information
The setting items differ depending on whether the client is HULFT Ver.8 or later or a version earlier than HULFT Ver.8.
HULFT Ver.8 or later
PROXY server information
The following items are set: the Host Name and Receive Port No. of the HULFT-HUB Server (controlling server) instance having the shortest route to the client among HULFT-HUB Server instances that relay data in send and receive operations.
HULFT earlier than Ver.8
Local net PROXY information
The following items are set: the Host Name and Receive Port No. of the HULFT-HUB Server (controlling server) instance having the shortest route to the client among HULFT-HUB Server instances that relay data in send and receive operations.
Global net PROXY information
The Local Host Name and the Receive Port No. of the local host are set.
Transfer Group Information
A HULFT-HUB client uses the Transfer Group Information to connect to the HULFT-HUB network. This definition is automatically set when information about transfer operations routed through HULFT-HUB Server is defined by using HULFT-HUB Manager.
For transfer operations routed through HULFT-HUB Server, do not modify the Transfer Group Information related to the destination.
Transfer Group ID
If the existing Transfer Group Information contains an ID that can be used, that ID is set.
If an ID that can be used does not exist, an 8-character ID starting with 'HB' is newly created and set.
Host Name
The Host Name in the Host Information is set.
2) TCP/IP-related host definition
The following definition is required in the TCP/IP-related host definition:
The host name and IP address of the controlling HULFT-HUB Server instance
