Starting DataMagic

To help describe the basic operations used to process data by using DataMagic, this section uses an example of transforming an input file in CSV format to an output file in CSV format.

The following are the modules to be started before operating DataMagic.

(1) In DataMagic Server grade

Start DataMagic Server. If DataMagic service has not been started, you start the DataMagic service. For details about how to start DataMagic service, see Starting the DataMagic service.

Next, start DataMagic Manager and then connect to DataMagic Server. For details about the start and connect operations, see Starting DataMagic Manager and Connecting to the host.

(2) In DataMagic Desktop grade

Start DataMagic Desktop. For details about how to start it, see Starting DataMagic Desktop.
