Notes on a user of DataMagic

User who starts DataMagic

To start the DataMagic service or the Request Acknowledge daemon, log on as the DataMagic invoking user. For details about DataMagic invoking user, see Types of users and operation permissions.

Note that even a general user can start the Request Acknowledge daemon. In this case, the user who started the Request Acknowledge daemon performs connection authentication to DataMagic and therefore, the user permissions in the OS are those of a general user. Because a general user cannot access the user information and password information that are managed by the OS, a user who is registered with OS authentication for the authentication method is denied login to DataMagic and an error occurs. Therefore such a user cannot be used for login.
