The following describes the steps for data processing in the DataMagic Desktop grade.

1) Registering a business group
Specify settings for a business group.

2) Registering management information (common resource information) - Register database connection information and common components
Register management information (common resource information) when you want to enhance processing of data transformations.
Register database connection information when you want to specify a database as input or output for data processing.
Register a common component when you want to take advantage of a generalized sub-processing routine that can be commonly used by various data processes.
3) Registering management information (data processing information, layout information, and system management)
Register management information that is necessary to perform data processing (data processing information, layout information, and system management). For details, see the following sections.
4) Executing data processing
Process input data to generate the data you want. For details, see Executing Data Processing.
5) Reviewing processing results
Check files such as error files and log files to verify that the data was processed correctly. For details, see Checking the data processing result.
