Common Customer Issues

How does your customers create ,share and integrate the files/data internally or externally now ?
There are 40 typical pains of the customer which are mapped to the customers situation.

No

Pains

Data is exchanged with business partners by fax. The present fax server has deteriorated with age, and now causes more transmission delays and errors, which keeps personnel occupied with sporadic troubleshooting. The send log in the server can only be accessed by IT department, and it is a hassle to check.
Information is exchanged with business partners by fax.
Information is exchanged with business partners by e-mail.
A database is accessed from an area from which access is not allowed. (For example, the customer database is accessed from an area from which access is not allowed for the purpose of obtaining customer information.)
There is an enormous volume of daily tasks for entering and tallying data on Excel.
Sales management personnel manually tally data by putting Excel data in a shared folder.
The practice of manually entering Excel data on orders received that comes from sales offices with a mission-critical system at headquarters entails a large number of work hours and leads to mistakes.
The latest files (of the product master and other matters) must be uploaded at predetermined times every day. These files are uploaded manually.
Development design documents, programs, and sources are distributed to partner companies. The personnel involved exchange the files by e-mail or by putting the files on a shared server.
To view the inventory trend, There is a need to process the Sales data collected from different locations and to use Excel to analyze it. This takes around one week, and hampers the timely management of inventories and the placement of orders.
Since the administrator who used many different Excel functions to tally data has retired, the data can no longer be tallied.
The Excel file of the product master is received by e-mail from the supplier, and is mostly registered manually with the use of Access. For the supplier, the correspondence to confirm this information is time-consuming.
Data exported from the Sales system is imported into Excel on a monthly basis, and a macro is executed to convert the data into a format in which it is imported into the accounting system. Manual processing is nearing its limit as the volume of data grows.
E-mail messages requesting approval for Notes workflows are often overlooked because they are mixed with other business e-mail messages. Delays in approval lower the operational processing speed.
It is hoped that the managerial accounting system will be integrated with the finance system on the cloud as well as with the other on-premises systems. However, the cost of development is too high to allow for the desired configuration.
When the COMPANY ERP accounting system is introduced, it is best to ensure data integration between the mission-critical system and Salesforce, which has already been introduced, to accelerate the pace of operational streamlining.
There are inefficient operations, such as entering the same data multiple times into the SuperStream accounting system, the mission-critical system, and the DWH system. There is a demand to independently develop a system for data integration in hopes of freely using the data inside the company, but the development costs are too high.
It was decided to independently develop a mechanism for integrating data with the accounting system when the sales management system is replaced. However, development costs will be high if the necessary requirements are met.
Despite wishes to develop a smartphone app for integrating with the mission-critical and operational systems, there must be a system infrastructure that can cope with the difference in the life cycle between the mobile devices and the mission-critical system.
A system dedicated to mobile communication for integration with the in-house systems is now needed, but development of the system would cost a lot given the high level of quality required to achieve both usefulness and security.
Data must be entered twice because the cloud service is not integrated with the in-house systems.
The industry’s strict standards for the security of personal information must be met. D27
Security measures for applications and vulnerability measures involve a large amount of costs and a great deal of work.
When transferring money to overseas locations, the only option available is transferring through the SWIFT which charges high fee for money transfer.
The development of inter-system data integration on a FTP basis would require many different mechanisms, such as a management function, as well as a large number of work hours to develop.
Data transfer by FTP may result in a loss of files or in double during transfer.
The transfer file size is limited, and large files cannot be sent intact. They must be broken up into small files that can be sent.
Whenever a transfer problem occurs, identifying the location of the failure is extremely time-consuming.
Whenever a transfer problem occurs, the recovery work requires time.
FTP is used to send and receive data to and from business partners. The personnel involved on both sides must always be alert during transfer.
Given that the system is developed manually, there is a concern about the sustainability of maintenance work.
Each time a new data integration destination is added, the system must be modified and tested.
Because many different system models are used in a mixed manner, there is a need to conduct character code conversion to support many different formats.
Systems are becoming dependent on specific individuals. The workload is concentrated on specific members, and there are no substitute staff members.
There is a worry about file transfers causing the system to break down.
Given that different operation systems adopt different data integration protocols and require transfer procedures, their operations are inefficient.
Data transfer increases the network load to affect the use of systems for other operations.
The data transfer routes are extremely complex, and files are frequently sent and received. This is making management more cumbersome.
The system cannot detect errors that occur in the process after file transfer.
Multiple data transfer transactions are not monitored, logged, or managed.
Due to the security policy, direct access between the in-house network and business partners is prohibited.
