Using Multifactor Authentication

This section explains how to configure multifactor authentication that uses a time-based one-time password (TOTP).

We recommend configuring multifactor authentication settings to deter malicious access and improve security.

Note

To configure multifactor authentication, an authentication application such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator is required.

Use a device such as a smartphone to download the authentication application, but ensure it is not the device that is running the Management Console site.
