Overview of IP Filter

In HULFT-WebConnect, you can limit connection to HULFT-WebConnect by IP Addresses. This is called 'IP Filter'.

For example, if you apply IP Filter to the Connection ID, even when you use the same Connection ID, only the connections by using the IP addresses allowed to connect to HULFT-WebConnect can be performed. As a result, you can limit the connection from unintended IP addresses. Therefore, it is useful to enhance the security.

The targets to apply IP Filter are different depending on the operation patterns of HULFT-WebConnect shown in the table below:

File transfer using Agent	Connection ID	At the startup of Agent and during transferring files, carry out the limitation to the connection to HULFT-WebConnect.
File transfer using Data Transfer API/CLI	Connection ID	During transferring files, carry out the limitation to the connection to HULFT-WebConnect.
File transfer using Data Transfer Site (Browser Transfer)	Account ID	Carry out the limitation to the login to Data Transfer Site using the relevant account ID. (*1)
File transfer using D-Client	Account ID	Carry out the limitation to the login to D-Client using the relevant account ID. (*2)
Change password of account	Account ID	Carry out the limitation to the connection when the password is changed using the password reset URL included in the password settings email sent to the relevant account ID.

 

*1	:	Only the connection limitation on logging in is applied. After the login, the IP Filter for the Connection ID defined in the Transfer Settings you are to execute is not applied.
*2	:	The IP filter is applied only for the connection limitation on logging in. After the login, the IP Filter for the Connection ID defined in the D-Client settings is not applied.
