Notes for IP Filter to Connection ID

  • IP Filter is the function provided by the Ver.2.2.0 or higher. Therefore, note the following:

    • When you use Agent of the version lower than 2.2.0, you cannot start the Agent if you set IP Filter to even one of Connection IDs defined in the Connection ID authentication settings file(*1).

    • When you use CLI of the version lower than 2.2.0, if you set IP Filter to the Connection ID defined in the CLI configuration file(*2), you cannot perform file transfer using the Connection ID.

  • When you transfer the data using Data Transfer API, if you set IP Filter to the Connection ID used for the connection without adding fields about IP Filter(*3) to the API, the connection using the relevant Connection ID becomes unavailable.

  • There are opportunities to check on IP Filter, at the management session on starting Agent and at the transfer session on transferring files. Therefore, even if the connection has once established at the management session, when performing file transfer, the connection will be disconnected at the transfer session if you omit the IP address used for established connection from the IP addresses that are allowed to connect by setting or changing IP Filter during the connection. In such case, Agent also stops. Therefore, when you transfer again, restart Agent.
