Update Installation Method
To update Agent, perform the following procedures:
(1) Termination of Agent
Terminate Agent if it is running.
For details on how to terminate Agent, refer to Termination of Agent.
If Agent has been started as a service in your OS, perform Deletion of the Service.
(2) Creation of the Agent data backup
Copy all files and subdirectories in the Agent installation directory to any directory (hereinafter, referred to as 'Agent backup directory').
After copying them, delete all files and subdirectories in the Agent installation directory.
(3) Downloading of the compressed file
For Windows
Download the compressed file (webconnect-agent-x.x.x-windows-xxx.zip) from the Downloads screen on Management Console.
For Linux
Download the compressed file (webconnect-agent-x.x.x-linux.tar.gz) from the Downloads screen on Management Console.
(4) Extraction of the compressed file
For Windows
Use decompression software to extract the files in the compressed file to the Agent installation directory.
For Linux
Move the compressed file to the Agent installation directory, and execute the following command:
# tar -xzvf webconnect-agent-x.x.x-linux.tar.gz
(5) Adaptation of the settings
Adapt the settings in the Agent configuration file, the Connection ID authentication settings file, and the log configuration file in the Agent backup directory to the Agent configuration file in the Agent installation directory.
Agent may not work as expected if you copy the backed up files to the installation directory.
For details on the settings, refer to Agent Settings and Log of Agent.
Verify that the setting value 'connection.keystore.filepath' in the Agent configuration file is the same as the path name of the Connection ID authentication settings file.
(6) Verification of the product version
Verify whether Agent has been updated properly or not by using the Product Version Display command.
The 'Version' part of the displayed execution results should match the updated version of Agent.

(7) Startup of Agent
Start Agent to confirm the results of the update installation.
