Basic operation of HULFT IoT

This section describes the basic operation of HULFT IoT.

Manager
  • Manager manages Agent settings, the status of sessions, and logs.
  • Manager sends settings information to Agent.
  • Manager can distribute files to IoT equipment on which Agent is installed.
  • Manager can update Agent modules.
  • Manager can send users an email to notify that Agent detects malfunction via an SMTP server.
Agent
  • Agent transfers files from the IoT equipment to HULFT.
  • Agent can execute jobs both before and after the file transfer to HULFT.
  • Agent receives files distributed by Manager.
  • Agent can execute jobs after successfully receiving the distributed files from Manager.
  • Agent collects logs and sends logs to Manager.
  • Agent can be updated via instructions from Manager.
  • When Agent is updated, Agent will create a backup directory in the installation directory and automatically back up the older generation of Agent.
