Double-byte characters are inadvertently entered in the value input fields for a portion of the adapters

Phenomenon

Double-byte characters are inadvertently entered in the value input fields for a portion of the adapters.

If a double-byte character is entered when the script is executed, an error occurs in HULFT IoT Runtime and cannot start.

Condition to reproduce

The phenomenon occurs when the following procedure is executed:

  1. Place any of the following adapters onto the script canvas.

    • Basic adapter: Basic - Monitoring - Acquire OS Resources

    • File adapter: File - Basic - Write

    • Modbus adapter: Industrial-use device - Modbus - Read Coils

    • Modbus adapter: Industrial-use device - Modbus - Read Input Status

    • Modbus adapter: Industrial-use device - Modbus - Read Input Register

    • Modbus adapter: Industrial-use device - Modbus - Read Holding Registers

    • Modbus adapter: Industrial-use device - Modbus - Write Single Coil

    • Modbus adapter: Industrial-use device - Modbus - Write Holding Registers

  2. On the Properties screen of the adapter, enter a double-byte number into any of the value input fields.

  3. Click [Finish] to save the value.

Status description

Double-byte characters cannot be saved in the value input fields of any of the adapters.
