Installation of HULFT IoT EdgeStreaming
This section describes the procedure to install HULFT IoT EdgeStreaming.

Download the HULFT IoT EdgeStreaming module.
Download the HULFT IoT EdgeStreaming module into an appropriate folder.

Place the HULFT IoT EdgeStreaming module.
Extract the downloaded file into an appropriate folder.
Place the extracted module in an appropriate folder to use for EdgeStreaming Studio.
NoteProcesses for HULFT IoT EdgeStreaming may be blocked when they are detected by security software.
If this happens, remove the following directories from the list of detection targets in your security software:

server/bin

server/es-agent
-
client/bin
-

Open communication ports.
Open the communication port to allow communication with EdgeStreaming.
NoteUse an account with administrator privileges to open the port.
The procedure described below shows how to open the ports in Windows 10.
Configure the settings according to the OS you are using.
(1) Programs to be allowed access
Open a communication port for the programs listed in the table below:

Select Windows Administrative Tools in the Windows start screen.

In the window that opens, double-click Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security.

In the window that opens, select Inbound Rules.

Select New Rule.
-
In the New Inbound Rule Wizard screen, select Program, and then click Next.

For This program path, enter the target programs in "Table 2.1 Target programs," and click Next.

Check that Allow the connection is selected, and click Next.

Clear the Public check box, and click Next.

For Name, enter the name for the program in "Table 2.1 Target programs," and click OK.
Perform steps d through i for each program in "Table 2.1 Target programs."
(2) Port to be allowed access
Open a communication port for the port listed in the table below:

Select Windows Administrative Tools in the Windows start screen.

In the window that opens, double-click Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security.

In the New Inbound Rule Wizard screen, select Port, and then click Next.

While TCP is selected, enter the target port in "Table 2.2 Target port" for Specific local ports, and then click Next.

Check that Allow the connection is selected, and click Next.

Clear the Public check box, and click Next.

For Name, enter the name for the port in "Table 2.2 Target port," and click OK.

The installation of HULFT IoT EdgeStreaming is now complete.
