Function details
The logic calculates the period from the date/time of the first input handler to that of the second input handler by hour.
The value will be negative if the date/time of the first input handler is in the future relative to the date/time of the second input handler.
Any fraction smaller than a hour in the difference between two date/time values is rounded down and the number of hours is returned as a numeric character.
