Restricted characters

The following character restrictions apply:

• For fields where you set or enter values, you can't use characters invalid for XML.

  Invalid characters for XML are as follows. (Hexadecimal)

  • "0x00" through "0x08"

  • "0x0b"

  • "0x0c"

  • "0x0e" through "0x1f"

  For invalid characters for XML other than the above, refer to "2.2 Characters" in "W3C XML 1.0" (http://www.w3.org/TR/xml/#charsets) (as of April 2021).

• For details about restricted characters of HULFT Square Storage, refer to Restricted characters of HULFT Square Storage.

• For the names of component icons, script variables, and environment variables, the following characters are also restricted in addition to those above.

  • "{", "}"

  • "$" (for component icons and script variables)

  • "%" (for only environment variables)

• If the following characters are used for the name of a component icon, that component can't be used for input data of Mapper. Moreover, the component variables of that component can't be used in Mapper.

  • "("

  • ")"

  • ","

  Single-byte parentheses can be used only when they are used as a pair.
