Transfer Group Information
Group remote hosts and register the groups.
The maximum number of hosts that can be specified per group is 1000.
There are two ways to register the information.
-
Registration using the Transfer Group Information Update screen
=> Refer to Using the Transfer Group Information
-
Registration specifying a definition card and using the Management Information Batch Registration program (XRSYSINF)
=> Refer to Registration and modification of management information
(1) Field List
'Optional' in the chart below refers to whether or not the field is optional for registration on the HULFT Management Console. Optional parameters for batch registration may differ from optional fields on the HULFT Management Console.
For details on optional parameters for batch registration, refer to Registration and modification of management information.

The symbols that you can use are hyphen (-) and period (.). However, you cannot specify a host name that contains a hyphen (-) for the target host of the following programs:
This is because a hyphen (-) represents a range when you specify a host name in the above programs. When you use HULFT-HUB, HULFT-HUB may set a host name with an underscore (_). HULFT-HUB uses this host name to manage HULFT. You cannot use an underscore (_) in a host name for transfer. |
(2) Specification of each field
The following explains the fields specified in the Transfer Group Information. Strings within brackets () are the tags of parameter names to be defined in a definition card for the Management Information Batch Registration program (XRSYSINF).
- Transfer Group ID (HGRPID)
-
This field specifies the ID to identify the group of the host on the sending side or the host on the receiving side.
This transfer group ID is linked with the Transfer Group ID (GRPID) in the Send Management Information and the Receive Management Information.
- Host Name (SERVER DEF to DEFEND)
-
This field specifies the name of the remote host used for the Send processing or the Receive processing of a file.
The maximum number of hosts that can be specified per group is 1000.
- Comment (COMMENT)
-
This field specifies the comment on the Transfer Group Information.
(3) Points to be noted when specifying
Duplication of host name
The same host name cannot be registered more than once in one Transfer Group.
(4) Operation when multiple hosts are registered
When you register multiple hosts for a Transfer Group ID in the Send Management Information, the operation of HULFT varies depending on whether the request is the Send File or the Send Request.
- Send File
-
HULFT sends the file to all hosts that are registered in the transfer group that is specified for the Transfer Group ID (multicasting).
- Send Request
-
HULFT sends the file only to the host that issued the Send Request.
If the host that issued the Send Request is not registered in the transfer group that is specified for the Transfer Group ID, an error occurs.
