Host Information

Register Detail Information on the host on the sending side or the host on the receiving side.

There are two ways to register the information.

You can default the Host Information. If you default it, HULFT sets the Transfer Group ID in the Send Management Information as the host name that is registered on Communications Server. HULFT also sets the Code Set for Transfer (KCODETYPE) as 'S' (SHIFT-JIS) and the Standard for Japanese (JIS) as '83' (JIS83).

(1) Field List

'Optional' in the chart below refers to whether or not the field is optional for registration on the HULFT Management Console. Optional parameters for batch registration may differ from optional fields on the HULFT Management Console.

For details on optional parameters for batch registration, refer to Registration and modification of management information.

*1

:

The symbols that you can use are hyphen (-) and period (.). However, you cannot specify a host name that contains a hyphen (-) for the target host of the following programs:

  • Host Information List Output Program (XRHSTLST)

  • Send Log List/File Output Program (XRSLOGL)

  • Receive Log List/File Output Program (XRRLOGL)

This is because a hyphen (-) represents a range when you specify a host name in the above programs.

When you use HULFT-HUB, HULFT-HUB may set a host name with an underscore (_).

HULFT-HUB uses this host name to manage HULFT. You cannot use an underscore (_) in a host name for transfer.

*2

:

If you use the Management Information Batch Registration program (XRSYSINF) to register the information, you can default this parameter. Defaulting this parameter sets '83.'

*3

:

These fields are set when you use HULFT-HUB or HULFT-WebConnect. Do not change their values in HULFT.

(2) Specification of each field

The following explains the fields specified in the Host Information. Strings within brackets () are the tags of parameter names to be defined in a definition card for the Management Information Batch Registration program (XRSYSINF).

Host Name (HOST)

This field specifies the host name to identify the host on the sending side or the host on the receiving side.

For the Send processing, this host name is linked with the Host Name (SERVER DEF to DEFEND) in the Transfer Group Information.

For the Receive processing, this host name is linked with the local host name of the host on the sending side.

Comment (COMMENT)

This field specifies the comment on the hosts.

Mainframe

U:

UNIX, Linux, or NonStop

N:

WindowsNT operating system

W:

Windows9x operating system

A:

78:

JIS78

83:

JIS83 (Also supports JIS90)

Receive Port No. (RCVPORT)

This field specifies the Receive Port No. for the host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST).

Defaulting this field sets '30000.'

Observe Port No. (REQPORT)

This field specifies the Observe Port No. for the host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST).

Defaulting this field sets '31000.'

Connection Type (CONNECTTYPE)

This field specifies the connection type for the host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST).

L:

Specify when the connection type for the host is LAN connection

You can only specify LAN (L) for this field.

Send Process Multiplex Level by Host (HOSTSPSNUM)

This field specifies the multiplex level of the Send processing by host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST).

When you set '0' to this field, HULFT does not check the multiplex level of sending by host.

Defaulting this field sets '0.'

Set this field to a value that is equal to or lower than the setting value of the Send Startup Task Count (TASK-CNT) in the System Environment Settings.

Use HULFT7 Comm. Mode (HUL7MODE)

This field specifies the communication method for the host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST).

Y (Yes):

Connect in the communication mode for HULFT7 first

N (No):

Connect in the communication mode for HULFT8 first, and if the version of HULFT on the remote host is lower, switch to the communication mode for HULFT7

Defaulting this field sets 'N (No).'

Host Information Update (Extension) screen

Proxy Server (LOCAL-PROXY)
