Ending the Receive program (XRRCV)

Submit a command on the console to end the Receive program (XRRCV).

(1) Ending of Receive Program (XRRCV)

Submit one of the following commands:

F Job name of Receive program,{HALT[,NORMAL]|[HALT,]QUICK|ABEND}

HALT[,NORMAL]

Synchronous end

Specifying this parameter ends the Receive program (XRRCV) after all the Receive processing is complete.

[HALT,]QUICK

Asynchronous end

Specifying this parameter forcibly ends the Receive program (XRRCV) even if the Receive processing is in progress. HULFT cancels all the Receive processing that HULFT is carrying out.

ABEND

Abend

Specifying this parameter forcibly ends the Receive program (XRRCV). All the Receive processing that HULFT is carrying out ends unsuccessfully.

P Job name of Receive program

This command allows you to end the Receive program (XRRCV) after all the Receive processing is complete.

Note

Do not restart Communications Server while HULFT is running.

Note that if you restart Communications Server while HULFT is running, then you must restart HULFT system.

= Remarks =

You cannot submit the MODIFY command after you submit the STOP command. Thus, you cannot forcibly end the Receive program (XRRCV), or check the status by using the Receive Task Status Display command (STATUS). Therefore, it is recommended that you use the MODIFY command to end the Receive program (XRRCV).
