Starting the HULFT Management Console

(1) Starting of the HULFT Management Console using LIBDEF service

Use the following procedure to start the HULFT Management Console:

1. Execute the command that you created during installation from TSO/E READY mode.

Example:

HULENV

2. Execute the command that you created during installation on the ISPF Command Shell screen.

Example:

  • If you execute the TSOLIB command defined as 'HULENV,' HULFT places HULFT load module library defined as 'HULENV' at the top of the standard search order. To exclude the library from the search order, deactivate the library. For details, refer to TSO/E Command Reference.

  • The name 'HULFT' for the command to start the HULFT Management Console was created during installation. The system administrator may have changed the command name after installation. For details, contact your system administrator.

  • HULFT provides a function to grant usage permissions for the HULFT Management Console to each user. When you use the Management Console Security function, you can specify settings such as to allow a user to view records of the management information, but not to update or delete them. For details on the Management Console Security, refer to Administration Manual.

(2) Starting of the HULFT Management Console using logon procedure

Use the following procedure to start the HULFT Management Console:

1. Log on to TSO/E by using the logon procedure in which you defined the HULFT Management Console.

2. Execute the command that you created during installation on the ISPF Command Shell screen.

  • The name 'HULFT' for the command to start the HULFT Management Console was created during installation. The system administrator may have changed the command name after installation. For details, contact your system administrator.

  • HULFT provides a function to grant usage permissions for the HULFT Management Console to each user. When you use the Management Console Security function, you can specify settings such as to allow a user to view records of the management information, but not to update or delete them. For details on the Management Console Security, refer to Administration Manual.

(3) HULFT Main Menu Screen

Note

To issue requests on the HULFT Management Console, the internal reader needs the authority to execute JES commands. For details on the authority to execute for the internal reader, refer to the explanation of request issuance on the HULFT Management Console in Administration Manual.
