Execution of the Installation JCL Generator (XRJCLGEN)

The JCL for the execution of the Installation JCL Generator (XRJCLGEN) reflects the values entered by using the interactive program of the installation command. Therefore, if you do not need to modify the values you entered, you can execute the JCL as it is.

 

To modify the values you entered, refer to Program used for the generation of installation JCLs and edit the JCL before you execute it.

= Remarks =

  • Even if you specify the values of the following fields with "-" (hyphen) using the interactive program of the installation command, the values are output without hyphens in the JCL for the execution of the Installation JCL Generator (XRJCLGEN).

    • Serial number

    • Product key and term license key

    In this case, you can execute the output JCL without any modifications.

  • If you execute the JCL for the execution of the Installation JCL Generator (XRJCLGEN) without editing it, the size of the system files (VSAM) that are created in STEP3 is set to the default value.

    To modify the size of the VSAM file, refer to Program used for the generation of installation JCLs.
