Execution of the installation command (HULSETUP)

Execute the installation command in the restored HULFT load module library in the installation destination to generate the JCL for the execution of the Installation JCL Generator (XRJCLGEN).

The attributes and the capacity of the generated file are shown below.

(1) Execution of the Installation command

Use the following procedure to execute the Installation command.

1. Open ISPF Command Shell.

2. Execute the following command.

CALL 'HULFT.LOAD(HULSETUP)'

A message notifying you of the start of the installation is displayed on the screen or the console, and the interactive program for the installation is run.

 

Next, follow the instructions on the screen and enter the information necessary for the installation of HULFT.

For details about the screen displayed by the interactive program of the Installation command and the operation thereof, refer to (2) Entry of information necessary for the installation of HULFT.

(2) Entry of information necessary for the installation of HULFT

Enter the information necessary for the installation according to the contents displayed on the screen of the interactive program of the Installation command.

= Remarks =
  • When a confirmation message is output, you can return to the previous screen by entering "BACK" and pressing the Enter key.

  • You can stop the interactive program by pressing the Attention key.

    If you do so, the generated JCL is automatically deleted and unnecessary data sets do not remain.

The following explains the operation of the screen of the interactive program of the Installation command.

1. Specify the data set name for the JCL for the execution of the Installation JCL Generator (XRJCLGEN).

When the message shown below is displayed after you execute the Installation command, specify a data set name for the JCL for the execution of the Installation JCL Generator (XRJCLGEN).

2. Enter the serial number.

When the message shown below is displayed, enter the serial number of HULFT to be installed and press the Enter key.

A message asking for the product key is displayed.

3. Enter the product key.

When the message shown below is displayed, enter the product key of HULFT to be installed and press the Enter key.

The license information of the product reflecting the entered value is displayed.

Check whether the license information of the product to be installed is correct.

If it is correct, enter "Y".

If it is incorrect, enter "N" and enter the information again starting with the serial number.

If the term of the license key you entered has expired, you must also enter the information again starting from the serial number.

4. Enter the host name.

When the message shown below is displayed, enter the host name to be used by HULFT and press the Enter key.

A message asking for the library name of the restored HULFT load module library (installation destination file) is displayed.

5. Enter the library name of the HULFT load module library (installation destination file).

When the message shown below is displayed, enter the library name of the previously restored HULFT load module library (installation destination file) and press the Enter key.

6. Specify the HULFT installation file names.

"HULFT installation files" refers to the HULFT installation files you restored in Restoration of the HULFT installation files.

When the message shown below is displayed, specify the PREFIX of the HULFT installation file names.

Character strings containing periods that represents the second, third, and subsequent modifiers can be used as the PREFIX.

  • To use the displayed PREFIX as it is, enter "OK"

  • To change the PREFIX of all HULFT installation files at once, enter "0"

  • To change the PREFIX individually for each HULFT installation file, enter the number that corresponds to the file

 

As the PREFIX is not changed here, enter "OK" and press the Enter key.

A message asking for the HULFT installation destination library name and the installation destination volume name is displayed.

7. Specify the HULFT installation destination library name and the volume name.

"HULFT installation destination library name" refers to the name of the library where the HULFT installation files are to be restored.

When the message shown below is displayed, specify the PREFIX of the HULFT installation destination library names, and the volume name.

8. Specify HULFT system file names.

When the following message is displayed, specify the PREFIX of the names of the HULFT system files, and the name of volume to be created.

Note

For the system file (VSAM) to be created, you can specify only the cluster name.

The name for the index components and the data components are assigned as the cluster name with ".IDX" or ".DATA" added on the end.

To change the names of the structure components, before you follow the procedure in Creation of the HULFT system files (STEP3), modify the corresponding portions of the JCL and then execute it.

 

As the PREFIX and volume name are not changed here, enter "OK" and press the Enter key.

A message asking for the installation JCL library name is displayed.

9. Specify the installation JCL library name.

When the message shown below is displayed, specify the installation JCL library name and the volume name.
