Dynamic specification
It is necessary to configure the management information in HULFT before file transfer. However, you can change the settings of the management information dynamically.
You can continue to use one File ID even when the name of the Send file and/or sending destination changes each time you carry out transfer, because the name of the Send file and/or sending destination can be dynamically changed.
Additionally, you can make the Receive file name identical to the Send file name by setting environment variables in the Receive Management Information.
(1) Dynamic Specification for Sending
It is possible to change the Mainframe DSN (DSNAME) and the Transfer Group ID (GRPID) in the Send Management Information dynamically when you execute the Send File. Specify the information to be replaced by using the parameters of the Send File program (XRSNDGO).
Also, when the Send File program (XRSNDGO) is executed, you can specify the host name dynamically. If the host name is dynamically specified, the Transfer Group ID in the Send Management Information becomes ineffective.
For details, refer to the explanation of the Send File program (XRSNDGO) in Operation Manual.
(2) Dynamic Specification for Receiving
You can change the Mainframe DSN in the Receive Management Information to the Send file name by specifying the setting as '&SNDFILE.'
