Level upgrade procedure for clustering environments

This section explains the procedure for performing a level upgrade of HULFT in a clustering environment.

For a level upgrade of a clustering environment, follow the procedure shown below for the ACTIVE environment and the STANDBY environment.

  • Before you start the level upgrade, terminate HULFT and create a backup of the data by referring to Preparation for a level upgrade.

    Carry out this procedure on each ACTIVE environment and STANDBY environment for which you want to carry out the level upgrade.

  • The explanations in this document assume that the following conditions apply for the clustering environment:

    • For HULPATH, the ACTIVE and STANDBY nodes use folders on the shared disk. (HULPATH\etc is also shared.)

    • For HULPATH\bin, the ACTIVE and STANDBY nodes use different folders.
