Backup method
You can create a backup of HULFT by following the procedure shown below. We recommend that the user who installed HULFT or a Windows system administrator carries out the operations below. In this manual, we assume that HULPATH is set to 'etc.' If a different HULPATH is used is in your operation, use your own HULPATH.
Terminate HULFT when you carry out backup operations.
-
Move to 'etc,' which should be the HULPATH environment.
-
Confirm that 'etc' is the HULPATH environment.
HULPATH is set in the following files:
- HULFT for Windows Ver.6
-
%windir%\hulft.ini
- HULFT7 for Windows, HULFT8 for Windows
-
HULFT installation folder\hulft.ini
Confirm that 'etc' is set as HULPATH.
-
Create a backup.
Copy all the files under the HULPATH environment to any folder.
For access to the file and folder to be inherited, you must copy the files, by using methods such as xcopy command.
-
Verify that the backup is created.
This procedure does not create a backup of HULFT system files and user-created files within folders other than HULPATH (the 'etc' folder in this example).
Manually create a backup of files in folders other than HULPATH, as needed.
For details on the system files of HULFT and file paths to be created, refer to "File Structure" in Administration Manual.
The backup procedure is now completed.
For the method to restore the backed up files, refer to Administration Manual.
