Points to confirm before a version upgrade

The points to be confirmed when you carry out the version upgrade procedure are as follows:

• Neither records in the Send Queue (records in unsent state) nor records in the Resend Queue are migrated. If any of such records exist, they are cleared.

• Terminate HULFT before you start the procedure.

• Create a backup of HULFT before you start the procedure.

• Do not create files or place any user-made files in the installation directory.

• If you carry out the Update Installation in environment in which HULFT PPP Server Option is installed, the following management information and log records are not migrated:

  • Records for which the Connection Type is 'PPP (P)' in the Host Information List

  • Records for which the Connection Type is 'PPP (P)' in the Send Log

  • Records for which the Connection Type is 'PPP (P)' in the Receive Log

  = Remarks =

  In the case of receiving, receiving is successful even if the Connection Type is 'PPP (P),' because HULFT does not refer to the Connection Type in the Host Information List.

  If the management information described above is used as the sending host, register the information again with 'LAN (L)' after the version upgrade.
