Settings for each login

The Management Console Security file (huladm.info) is necessary for setting each permission.

Set the contents with respect to each login name to which the user permissions are set in the Management Console Security file. Further, if the login name is not set, (5) Value of default users is set. If the Management Console Security file does not exist or if (5) Value of default users is not set, (6) Default value of each field is set.

(1) File Name

The name of the Management Console Security file is 'huladm.info.' You cannot change this name. The Management Console Security file is placed in the path (HULPATH) in which the system file used by HULFT exists.

(2) Description Format

A line with '#' at the beginning is considered as a comment line. A blank line is also acceptable. The space code (0x20) or tab code (0x09) is used as the delimiter between fields.

(3) Record Layout

As the Management Console Security file (huladm.info) does not contain binary data, it can be created using an editor such as vi. Further, multiple descriptions can be set for a record in the Management Console Security file.

Note

Use the specified format in this file. (Follow the given sample format.) You may not be able to configure the permissions as you intended if your description does not follow the specification. HULFT behaves as follows:

  • The space code (0x20) or tab code (0x09) is used as the delimiter between fields. Therefore, when you describe the space code or the tab code for the permission flag to be set, HULFT enables the permission flag of successive fields.

  • HULFT enables 0 for this field (0 indicates no permission is granted) if you specify any of the following for the permission flag: 0, 1, or characters other than space code and tab code.

  • If the basic permissions are not fully described (that is, the number of specified permission flags is less than four), then HULFT applies the default value for the permissions provided to the login user. If the permission flag is not fully described (that is, the number of specified permission flags is four or greater yet less than eight), then HUFLT applies the default value only to the extended permissions.

Refer to (6) Default value of each field for the default values of each field.

(4) Explanation of each field

The following provides an explanation of each field. Refer to (6) Default value of each field for the default values of each field.
