Using a repository database to manage users

With HULFT Script, you can use a repository database to manage users.

A repository database provides you with a mechanism to manage services, user information, and various types of configuration data in a repository area of a relational database (RDB).

In order to use a repository database, you need an object-relational database management system (ORDBMS).

For details on the databases that are supported by HULFT Script to be used as repository databases, refer to Supported repository databases.

The setup modules for HULFT products include PostgreSQL as the ORDBMS.

Install the version of PostgreSQL that is appropriate for the operating system in use.

When installing PostgreSQL, follow the installation procedure in the document included with the PostgreSQL product.

When using a database other than PostgreSQL, before installing HULFT Script, install the database that you want to use.

When installing a database, follow the installation procedure in the document included with the database product.

Also, refer to Preparing a repository database when building a repository database.
