Configuring repository database settings

When you want to use a repository database, before installing HULFT Script, confirm whether the database to be used is running.

To set a database to be used as a repository database, refer to Preparing each database, and perform the following procedure.

 

1. Confirm the database.

To confirm whether a database is supported as a repository database, refer to Supported repository databases.

2. Confirm the necessary information for the repository database.

Refer to (2) Necessary information for a repository database for each database in Preparing each database, and confirm the necessary information for setting the repository database.

3. Configure user settings.

Refer to (3) User settings for each database in Preparing each database, and configure the settings for the users of the repository database.

4. Install HULFT Script.

Install HULFT Script.

5. Configure repository database settings.

The repository database settings are configured in Control Panel - Repository DB Management in HULFT Script Studio.

Refer to (4) Repository database settings for each database in Preparing each database, and configure the settings for the repository database.

After setting the repository database, restart HULFT Script Server.

 

It is possible to change the settings for the repository database by following the procedure in step 5. .

When changing the database to be used as the repository database, follow the procedure above from steps 1. to 3. , and then perform step 5. .

When changing the users, perform the procedure in step 3. , and then perform step 5. .

Note
  • Multiple instances of HULFT Script cannot be connected to the same repository. Build an environment for a repository database for each instance of HULFT Script.

  • For database instances to be used as repository databases, use them exclusively as repository databases. Do not use them on other systems.

  • For database instances specified as repository databases, it is necessary to set encoding that allows multibyte characters.

    For example, if the encoding is set to US-ASCII, the created databases cannot be used as repository databases.
