Module installation and Product Key Update

The following types of installation processing are available for HULFT Manager:

  • Installation of program module of HULFT Manager

  • Update of the product information of HULFT Manager

Installation of program module of HULFT Manager

Use the setup program of HULFT Manager to install the program module of HULFT Manager.

Install program modules of HULFT Manager when you perform any of the following:

  • New Installation of HULFT Manager

  • Version upgrade of HULFT Manager

  • Level upgrade of HULFT Manager

  • Revision upgrade of HULFT Manager

For New Installation, you newly install HULFT Manager to configure a new operating environment.

For a version upgrade, a level upgrade, or a revision upgrade, you perform an installation to update the environment in which HULFT Manager is already installed.

Even after the installation, you can continue to use the same operational environment.

You can install multiple instances of HULFT Manager on a single host.

If you install multiple instances of HULFT Manager on a single host, perform New Installation for each HULFT Manager because you must operate each HULFT Manager independently.

Update of product information of HULFT Manager

Use the setup program of HULFT Manager to update only the product information of HULFT Manager that is already installed.

In this case, the program module is not installed.

Updating the product information of HULFT Manager is called 'Product Key Update.'

Perform Product Key Update for the following cases:

  • Modification of the product information

    • When changing the host name

    • When migrating from a Trial version to a Product version

    • When migrating from a Product version (Fixed Term License) to a Product version

  • Extension of the usage period

    • When extending the usage period of a Product version (Fixed Term License)

= Remarks =

  • When you perform Product Key Update for HULFT Manager, start the setup program from the setup module of HULFT Manager.

  • You can perform Product Key Update only when the version, the level, and the revision number of the installed HULFT Manager are the same as those of HULFT Manager on the setup module.
