- Interface DBID
-
This is the interface at the receiving side of the sent data:
- CSV:
-
Converts the Receive file into CSV format on the receiving side
- XML:
-
Converts the Receive file into XML format on the receiving side
When the Receive file received on the receiving side is in CSV format (UNIX, Linux, NonStop, and Windows) or in XML format (UNIX, Linux, and Windows), the above fixed characters are specified.
When the field is defaulted, the receiving in CSV format or XML format is not carried out. To establish interface, specify 'FORMAT' or 'MULTIFORMAT' for the Transfer Type.
- Transfer Interval
-
The interval between two blocks in transfer.
- Transfer Priority
-
Priority assignment specifying the order in which files will be transferred.
Smaller the value, higher the priority.
- Transfer Block Length
-
The length of one block during transfer
The product of the Transfer Block Length and the Transfer Block Count cannot exceed 65520.
- Transfer Block Count
-
This refers to the block count that is transferred at one time.
You cannot set the value of which product of multiplication of the Transfer Block Length and the Transfer Block Count exceeds 65520.
- Shiftcode Mode
-
How to handle shift codes when carrying out code conversion
- Cut:
-
Deletes shift codes and makes the data smaller
- Space:
-
Converts from shift codes to space characters
- Subsequent Character
-
Handling of trailing space and NULL (X'00') characters.
- Null Cut:
-
Cuts the trailing null characters
- Space Cut:
-
Cuts the trailing space characters

- No Cut:
-
Does not cut the trailing space and null characters
- UNIT
-
UNIT name where the send file is stored
- Sequence Number
-
The sequence number on the tape volume in which Send file is stored.
- Sending with RDW
-
This field specifies whether to add Record Descriptor Word (RDW) to transfer data or not
- Yes:
-
Send with RDW
- No:
-
Send without RDW (Default)
When you carry out sending with RDW, specify 'B:BINARY' for the Transfer Type.
- Encryption Key
-
The key that encrypts the data.
You can apply security to the file to be sent. Enter the same Encryption Key as set in the Receive Management Information of the remote host.
When you default this field, the file is not encrypted.
(3) Points to be Noted When Setting
Mainframe DSN
Generation file, Partitioned Organization file and VSAM file can also be registered. Relative generation number and file (Member) name are specified within brackets.
Do not enclose the file name with single quotations.
Volume Serial
If Volume Serial Number is omitted, files are considered to be cataloged.
If the Send DSN is VSAM file, it should be cataloged.
UNIT
If UNIT name is omitted, it will be set to the unit group name of Send/Receive file (INIT-UNIT) specified in the System Environment Settings.
Further, if the Volume Serial Number is omitted, unit name will be referred from the catalog. The specified unit name and unit group name of Send/Receive file (INIT-UNIT) set in the System Environment Settings will be ignored.
Send File Mode
If you specify 'C (Clear)' or 'D (Delete)' for the Send File Mode in the Work File Transfer, the operation of HULFT varies according to the setting in the Post-send Clear Mode in the System Environment Settings. Work file is created, regardless of the result of the Send process, successful or unsuccessful. If the Post-send Clear Mode is set to 'A,' Send files or all the records are deleted after the successful termination of the Send processing.
Multicasting is disabled if the Send File Mode is set to other than 'K (Keep).' Still multicasting is enabled if the Send File Mode is set to 'C (Clear)' or 'D (Delete),' and the Post-send Clear Mode is set to 'B,' respectively. If the Send file is VSAM or partitioned organization file, you cannot specify 'C (Clear)' or 'D (Delete)' for the Send File Mode.
In the Work File Transfer, when the code conversion is executed on the sending side, conversion between EBCDIC codes is not available.
Work Volume Serial
If omitted, the location of the creation of work file will vary based on the 'Work Volume Mode.' If the Work Volume Mode is set to '0,' work file will be created in the Volume Serial Number that is defined as the volume of storage attribute. If the Work Volume Mode is set to '1,' work file will be created in the same Volume Serial Number as the Send file.
Capacity
When 'O (Omitted)' is specified in the Capacity, 1st extent, secondary and capacity of the Send work file will be calculated automatically from the Send file capacity.
Since automatic calculation of the capacity is carried out based on the attributes of Send file, the automatic calculation cannot be done in either of the following cases; if Send file is created with elements other than track or cylinder; if Send file is VSAM file.
Further, note that capacity may become insufficient during the creation of work file under following conditions:
In the case of Partitioned Organization file
The capacity of work file is calculated based on the overall partition size.
When the device types of Send file and work file are different
Calculated from the allotted amount of Send file.
Interface DBID
When the database ID (8 bytes alphanumeric character ID) used to load the sent data in UNIX or Windows database is specified, interface can be done with 'DB Interface Option.' Three character alphabets 'CSV' and 'XML' cannot be used as database ID.
UNIT Quantity
When specifying 2 or more for unit quantity, Work Volume Serial cannot be specified.
Replacement Message
The fields that can be used for message replacement are given below.
By specifying the '&MSG0' to '&MSG5' in the following fields, the message specified during Send File issue or the message sent are replaced.

Restrictions on MT usage
There are restrictions in respect of sending from MTs. For details regarding limitations, refer to Operation Manual.
Shiftcode Mode
Where you would like code conversion on the sending side, specification of 'Cut' for the Shiftcode Mode varies Receive data length according to the setting of the Shiftcode Mode for Send Files (RECLEN) in the System Environment Settings. If 'Y' is specified for the Shiftcode Mode for Send Files, HULFT deletes the shift codes and adds space characters of the same length as the shiftcodes at the end of the record. On the other hand if 'N' is specified, HULFT deletes shift codes to shorten the record length. For the details of the Shiftcode Mode for Send Files, refer to the explanation on each field of the System Environment Settings inAdministration Manual.
