Function overview

(1) Management function of Destination Host Information

Destination host information (Host Name, Internet Protocol Address, and Port number etc.) can be managed as Management Host Information.

(2) Management function of system management information

The system management information of the destination host can be updated and deleted remotely. System management information is the information that is used at the time of a sending or receiving operation performed by HULFT that is installed at a destination host. This includes send file and receive file information, and destination information.

(3) Issuance of Send File and Send Request

The issuance of a request is a function to request the transfer or acknowledgment of data from each host. It enables the issuance of Send File, Send Request, Resend File and Resend Request for each host from the remote location.

(4) Status Inquiry

The status of the sending operations and receiving operations carried out on destination hosts can be checked from the remote location.

(5) Security

The usage permissions for the duration while HULFT Manager connects to the destination host can be set for each user. Also, only registered users can use HULFT Manager. Therefore, with these features, the information registered in the destination host, and the information managed in HULFT by HULFT Manager can be protected.

Further, the operation log function can be used to confirm the status of HULFT, detect errors, track unauthorized accesses, and verify user operations.

(6) Automatic update of screen information

The latest information can be automatically displayed on each screen. This function updates the screen to the latest details at regular intervals based on the refresh interval set by the user.

(7) Function to view files and folders (directories)

With a dialog box for file reference or folder reference, you can view and select a file or a folder (directory) on the destination host via HULFT Manager. As a result, you can avoid input errors and the setting of incorrect information by end users.

= Remarks =

The term 'folder' is used when the connection destination is HULFT for Windows, and the term 'directory' is used when the connection destination is HULFT for UNIX/Linux.

 

The main functions that have been added to HULFT8 Manager are explained below.

(8) Selection of HULFT Manager operation language and display language for HULFT Manager main screen

You can now select the language used in HULFT Manager console and the language used for display of the HULFT Manager main screen. You can select the languages from Japanese, English, or Chinese.

You can set the operation language when installing HULFT Manager, and also while it is running.

You can set the display language when starting HULFT Manager, and also while it is running.

(9) Selection of date format and display of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) for log records

You can now select the format of date used in HULFT Manager. You can set the format of date not only when you install HULFT Manager, and also while it is running.

In addition, to display the date of each HULFT log record on the destination host, HULFT Manager now uses the local time of the machine on which HULFT Manager is running. The dates of log records are displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) for the time zone of the machine in use.

= Remarks =

The dates of log records are displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) only when the destination host runs HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher.

However, if the destination host is HULFT8 for MSP or HULFT8 for XSP, the dates of log records are displayed in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

(10) Specification of desired user as built-in user

During installation, you can now specify a user as the built-in user for HULFT Manager.

(11) Security Functions (User Management)

You can now set the type and number of characters used when entering user IDs and passwords.

Further, if Password Check is enabled in HULFT on a destination host, you can now connect to HULFT on that destination host through user authentication on the Logon screen even if there are no Mapping Settings in HULFT Manager.

(12) Management function of system management information

The File Trigger Information in the system management information can now be output in CSV format.

(13) Improved operability of HULFT Manager main screen

The design and layout of the HULFT Manager main screen for managing HULFT Manager have been modified to improve ease of use.

(14) Improved HULFT Manager Management Console

A Home screen has been added to the HULFT Manager Management Console.

(15) Management Information Export and Import functions

You can now export management information on the destination host in CSV format.

You can edit the exported management information and then import the edited information.
